Glass Production Line Compensator Project

In order to compensate for production speed and capacity differences between processes in the glass production line, a glass elevator system has been designed and commissioned. With this implementation, continuous line flow has been ensured and synchronization between processes has been improved.

The glass line compensator project has been developed to balance speed and capacity differences between processes in the production line. With the designed glass elevator system, continuous flow has been ensured and synchronization between processes has been improved.

  • The project is equipped with an emergency stop system in compliance with EN ISO 13850, EN ISO 13849-1, and EN 60204-1 standards.

  • Emergency stop buttons are connected in series and monitored through a safety relay to ensure safe stoppage of all moving elements.

  • The emergency stop circuit triggers the STO (Safe Torque Off) inputs of the drives, cutting motor torque and switching the machine into safe stop mode.

  • The stop type is Category 0 (Cat.0) sudden stop method.

  • Stop times are 0.050 s for AC drives and 0.1 s for servo drives.

  • Calculations confirm that the system meets PL d (Performance Level d), providing a high level of industrial safety.

As a result, the glass line compensator project has achieved uninterrupted flow in the production line, improved synchronization between processes, and guaranteed operator safety at the highest level. With compliance to standards and rapid stop times, the project stands out as a strong solution in terms of both efficiency and safety.
